Company filings
Last updated
The Companies House Filings page in D2K Companies House Lookup shows what a company has filed at Companies House - accounts, confirmation statements, changes of director, resolutions, and everything else on the public record.
Open it with View Filings from a company snapshot.
What the list shows
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Filing Date | The date Companies House recorded the filing |
| Filing Type | The kind of filing - Annual Accounts, Confirmation Statement, Director Appointment and so on. Anything that does not fall into a recognised category shows as Other |
| Description | What the filing actually was, in words |
| Document | Ticked when there is a PDF you can download |
| Source Transaction ID | The Companies House identifier for the filing |
Download the filed document
Most entries on the register have the actual filed PDF behind them - the signed accounts, the confirmation statement, the resolution.
- Select the filing.
- Choose Download Document.
The file is named so you can find it again: registration number, filing date
and what the filing was, for example
00445790-2026-09-16-Capital-return-purchase-own-shares.pdf.
The Document column tells you before you click. Not every entry has a document - plenty of register entries genuinely have none - and an entry without one says so rather than downloading an empty file.
Document downloads are not available in Sandbox Mode, because the Companies House sandbox does not serve filed documents. Turn Sandbox Mode off on Companies House Setup to download from the live register.
Refresh
Refresh always fetches the filing history again from Companies House rather than reading what is stored, so it is the way to pick up something filed in the last few minutes. It also fills in the document links for filings that were recorded before your version of the app supported downloads.
Between refreshes, opening the view may serve filings already recorded, within the age set by Cache TTL (Filings) on Companies House Setup.
Filings found by the background poll
The list above is a live view of one company, fetched when you open it. It is separate from the Companies House Filing Events list, which is the record of what the hourly background poll has found for the companies you watch. See Filing watches.
